Top most beautiful beaches of California for summer vacation

One of the things I love most about residing in California is being in such closeness to some of the most amazing beaches on the planet. Even after 32 years of life close to the coast, my breath continues to be taken away every time I round a bend and obtain that first glimpse of the ocean. When i have lived in and explored both Southern and northern California, I have grown to especially love the variety that our coast holds.

Laguna Beach: This is beautiful top beaches in California in If you're bound for beachy, artsy Laguna Beach, would you jump in the ocean first or start prowling galleries? If you choose No. 1, begin by taking the measure of Main Beach at Pacific Coast Highway and Broadway. Besides lots of bodysurfing, skim-boarding, volleyball on the sand and half-court hoops on two of the best-sited courts in California, it's a scene of romantic strolls and playing children, all at the foot of a blue and white lifeguard tower that dates to the '20s.

San Clemente: Just about all of Southern California's sleepy little beach towns have been built up, priced up and, by many measures, messed up. But San Clemente's pier, beaches and red-tile roofs endure, and they're worth a look.

La Jolla Shores Lined by towering palms and a generously-sized walkway to skate or stroll, this popular beach enjoys deep white sands and a broad stretch of horizon. There are swings and things for the kids and a grassy area for picnics, too.

La Jolla Cove: Spend your summer vacation at this beautiful beach. Tucked away and just off La Jolla’s prestigious Prospect Ave., is the gem of the Pacific — La Jolla Cove. Gazebos perched on dramatic cliffs make for romantic sunsets and private little coves are great to take a quick dip in the ocean. Don’t miss the chance to visit with the seals at the Children’s Pool.
